Lish & Will got married this past Saturday and had a big ol Navy Wedding at Vie here in Philadelphia! Check out a couple teasers from the day!
Goal Magic is a weekly podcast hosed by the amazing Cynthia Spitalny and Brennen Lukas! Each week they interview a new inspiring person and talk about anything from careers, relationships, fitness and finance. Their goal is to help you get unstuck in your life! It’s a great tag line and if anyone can do it, it’s these two! I met Brennen through the delicious Whipped Bakeshop here in Philadelphia. He is the co-owner along with his super creative wife Zoe Lukas. So my advice is to go to Whipped and grab some treats, then binge every episode of this podcast and rule the world!
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Kaleigh & Kyle’s Michigan League Wedding in Ann Arbor, MI! There are many moments to share but here are my initial top three! The first is from the ceremony at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. This was a touching moment when the priest was praying for the remembrance of lost family and friends. Kyle is holding on to Kaleigh’s hand while she cries and fighting to hold back his own tears. The second moment is somewhere around State Street which is the one of the main streets in town. It was about 100 degrees that day and when we went out we needed to make it count. I think we nailed this one! The third is well after the dancing and festivities were over. We drove back to their house and went to their back porch that Kyle built. They ate some cake and cuddled on the couch and talked about how much the day meant to them. How great it was to see family and friends that they hadn’t in years and how bitter sweet it was to then say goodbye again after the last song was over. This was a wedding full of happy tears but so much laughter and I’m lucky that I got to witness it.
Not too long ago I had the privilege of hanging out with Lish & Will, in their current hood, for their DC Engagement Session! Seeing as they are both in the Navy and have lived all over the world, we started off by finding a spot that spoke to where they both started from. Will is from Georgia and Lish is from Pennsylvania and those two states just happen to be right next to each other at the WWII Memorial! From there we walked along the Tital Basin and explored all the beautiful DC fountains and monuments. This was a super windy day and we totally made it work in our favor! Congrats to the two of you and I can’t wait to shoot your wedding at Vie in just a few months! Check out some of my favorites from the day!
Check out the fun teasers from Nikki & Kevin’s Philadelphia Engagement Session! We explored Old City Philly and even got to make a trip out to Spruce Street Harbor Park which was my first time getting to photograph there. I think I could hang out in those hammocks all day! More to come!
