Elizabeth & Andrew – The Hurricane Teaser.

Here is a quick teaser from Elizabeth & Andrew’s Wedding a few weeks ago. This was the day Hurricane Irene touched down and near the end of the night, when the rain was peaking, we went out into the storm for this amazing shot!

Hannah.

My sweet little baby girl passed away yesterday afternoon and it is an absolute heart breaker. I don’t mean for this to be a downer, rather a little look at what an awesome cat she was. She lived a really full life, gettin on up there to be almost 20 years old. I got her when I was in 8th grade and even though I was allergic, I powered through the itchy eyes because I loved her. Things I’ll miss…if you fell asleep with your hands above the covers, she would nip your fingers until you woke up to pet her. She loved to get on the roof of my mother’s house and then pretend not to know how to get down. I fell for it every time and always saved her. She loved to lay on paper, especially if you were reading it at the time. She had the most beautiful green eyes. When I was 16, I saw her smack a doberman square in the nose for coming in our yard and if he had had a tail it would have been between his legs as he ran away. When she was young, she used to hide behind things and jump out to scare you when you came around the corner. Loudest Purr Ever and I’ll miss that the most.

Alyson & Charlie – The Teaser.

Here is a quick teaser from Alyson & Charlie’s Wedding on Long Beach Island in New Jersey a few weeks ago. More to come.

Tracy & Nicole – The Wedding.

Meet Tracy & Nicole. AKA Fancy & Goose 🙂 I had the honor of shooting this lovely and amazing wedding in Raleigh, NC just a few short months ago. We started off shooting portraits in E.B. Bain Waterworks, which is this abandoned water treatment plant a few miles from downtown. Tracy’s company owned it so we had free reign to go where we wanted and I tell you right now, I could have shot there all day long if it weren’t for the heat. The wedding and reception were both held in downtown Raleigh at The Stockroom at 230. I loved this venue. It just fit perfectly with the couple, who had their hands in every detail of this wedding. From the Giant Balloons to the delicious Southern BBQ buffet, they made it all happen. Nicole for instance, made the cake which was a multi-tiered banana pudding with their initials monogrammed on top in Vanilla Wafers. My favorite line from the day was delivered by none other than Jarvis Slacks, a close friend who officiated the ceremony. After a very intimate ceremony he ended by saying ‘by the power vested in me…by my friends, I now pronounce you Married!’ I loved it, I love them, I love everything about this wedding.
Check out some of my favorites from the day.

Look what I can grow.

Check out my first tomato from my very first tomato plant! They’ve been growing for going on 5 months now and they are finally turning red! I thought this heat would have killed any chance at a nice batch but they are coming in stong and let me tell you they are de.licious.
