All Roads Lead to Rome – Part 1.

At least the road that I was on led me there and it was unbelievable! Rome…I love that you will forever be the first stamp in my passport (even if the customs guy stamped my passport on the 3rd page). We rented this amazing little apartment near Campo de’ Fiori, one of the many famous squares in the heart of Rome. During the day it was home to an Italian Market (Just plain Market if you’re yourself Italian) where you could buy anything from pasta to espresso pots. The neighborhood itself had everything you’d want. Tons of shopping, cafes and restaurants to choose from. I think I ate pizza at least once everyday and the wine, OH The Wine! I know I wrote this before but this would be such an amazing place to shoot a wedding or just any couple session really. Every angle looks like it’s right out of a postcard!
I shot over 1600 images so I’m going to have to break this up into a few posts 🙂 Here is a taste of Rome through my eyes.

Franklin turns 8!

Franklin, the sweetest little man ever, turned 8 years old today! His annual birthday doggie ice cream is waiting for him in the freezer at this moment…but for now, it’s time for his birthday portrait. Love that kid!

I Was Born to Love you.

This time last week I was in Rome. That’s so weird to write but I love that it’s true. I would most likely be heading back to the apartment after another jaw dropping dinner, passing one alley after the next that looked like a scene in a postcard. I shot plenty and I’m working on that post as I type this but I wanted to share this image because it really got me excited about this coming Engagement & Wedding Season! I found this on one of those walks after dinner and it, like all the amazing backdrops in Rome, made me want to shoot a wedding there! Any Takers!?!

Kristin & Brian – The Wedding.

Meet Kristin & Brian, the married couple! This beautiful December Wedding was held in Havertown, PA at the Sacred Heart Church which had some amazing light, I could have shot this couple there all day! After the ceremony we ran over to King of Prussia Mall to see Santa, see that fun teaser here. After a trip with the wedding party to the Vally Forge park we headed to the reception at the Crown Plaza Valley Forge.
When I first met Kristin & Brian I asked Kristin when was the moment she fell for Brian. She told me about their first date, when they were both attending Villanova University. They decided to meet halfway between their dorms in the center of campus. This was the moment he kissed her for the first time and when he did it started to rain down on them. Sounds exactly like a scene from The notebook! I love them and want them to get married again right now!
Check out some of my favorites from the day.

Lora – Portrait Session.

Here are some of my favorites from the recent Portrait Session with the lovely Lora. It was a beautiful day in Philadelphia as we walked around Northern Liberties searching for that perfect light. I love this area and I think it’s going to make a great background for the night shoot we’re planning soon. Check them out!
